Dr. Shieh is experienced in several major weight loss surgical procedures, enabling Surgical Healing Arts Center patients in the Naples-Fort Myers, Florida area to choose the best option for their needs. He is also trained in cosmetic surgery and offers post-massive weight loss body contouring. His areas of surgical expertise include post massive weight loss body contouring procedures, revisional bariatric surgery, robotic surgery, anti-reflux surgery and complex wound care.
Before joining the Surgical Healing Arts Center, he attended medical school at Des Moines University in Iowa. He completed his residency at Mount Clemens Regional Medical Center, an affiliate of Michigan State University.
Dr. Shieh completed fellowships in both laparoscopic surgery from Northeast Surgical Group – Great Lakes Bariatric Treatment Center and cosmetic surgery through the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.
He is board certified in General Surgery and is currently board eligible for the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery. He is a member of the American Society for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS), the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (AACS) and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons.
Dr. Miller is committed to making sure patients have all their questions answered so they can make the best surgical choices to achieve and maintain weight loss goals. He focuses on minimally invasive surgery, with areas of practice including endoscopy and wound care.
Before joining the Surgical Healing Arts Center, he was a general surgeon and wound care physician at Adena Regional Medical Center in Ashland, KY. Prior to that, at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, he specialized in minimally invasive surgery and procedures using the Da Vinci Robot. He was the founding physician and medical director of the Adena Wound Care Center in Chillicothe, Ohio.
He received a Bachelor of Science degree with biology and chemistry majors from Western Kentucky University before receiving his medical doctorate at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. He served as a resident of general surgery at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, Ohio, where he received Intern of the Year, Resident Teaching Award, Excellence in Teaching, Department of Surgery Resident Academic Award and Teacher of the Year.
Dr. Miller is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and certified in Hyperbaric Oxygen. He has Da Vinci Robotic training, and certification in skin and wound management, Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.

Dr. Ibarra’s interest in patients’ care goes beyond clinical knowledge; he is passionate about innovation and information technology as a means to facilitate the clinical and administrative health processes. His clinical interests include the medical and surgical management of patients with obesity, and the wide variety of minimally invasive surgical procedures of the upper GI.
A native of Caracas, Venezuela, Dr. Ibarra received his Medical Degree from the Central University of Venezuela “Luis Razetti” School of Medicine. He started his training in General Surgery at the Ohmori University Hospital, Toho Medical University in Tokyo, Japan and completed his residency at the University Hospital of Caracas, Central University of Venezuela. It was at this hospital that he completed an additional subspecialty training in Bariatric and Metabolic surgery. He became an attending surgeon, teacher and mentor for residents and medical students for five years. Before coming to the United States, Dr. Ibarra had an active academic and medical practice specializing in Bariatric and General Surgery.
Upon coming to the United States, he received a master’s degree in Health Informatics at the University of South Florida and obtained his surgical assistant certification, adding his years of knowledge and experience in assisting with surgeries at Surgical Healing Arts Center. Dr. Ibarra is an international member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
Having trained as an artist before turning to medicine, Dr. Nease is renowned for his unique ability to paint beautiful portraits with his hands. With 20 years of experience, he has performed more than 10,000 surgical procedures.
Dr. Nease earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine, after which he went on to study otolaryngology, head, and neck surgery at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center. He then completed a 12-month sponsored fellowship program through the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.
He regularly provides lectures and presentations to peers across the country and trains surgeons from around the world in the latest techniques in cosmetic surgery. Dr. Nease was an instructor for the facial rejuvenation course sponsored by the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (AACS) in 2012. He was also an instructor for the New and Established Techniques in Breast and Body Contouring Workshop in St. Louis.
Dr. Nease is a trustee of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, the 2018 President of the American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery (ABFCS), and current Treasurer of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.
Dr. Nease is triple board-certified by the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and the American Board of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery.
Before joining Surgical Healing Arts, she trained in OB/GYN surgical procedures at Premier Associates for Health Care of Women, colorectal surgery at the Colorectal Institute, internal medicine at Prime Medical Health and Wellness, family medicine at Family Medicine of Fort Myers, pediatrics at Apple Pediatrics, emergency medicine at Hendry Regional Medical Center Emergency Department and general surgery at Surgical Healing Arts Center. She was a medical scribe for Stoney Brook Orthopedics, as well as a lecturer and laboratory assistant for microbiology at Stony Brook University.
She received a bachelor’s degree in biology at Stony Brook University and a Master of Medical Science Physician Assistant Studies with high honors at Nova Southeastern University. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
Sherry is an accomplished registered nurse with more than 30 years of patient care, administration, surgery, and compliance management experience.
Before joining Surgical Healing Arts in 2016, she served as a nurse, physician assistant and practice administrator for an OB/GYN practice in Charleston, West Virginia.
She received a bachelor’s degree in nursing at West Virgina University Institute of Technology.
