Dr. Shieh is experienced in several major weight loss surgical procedures, enabling Surgical Healing Arts Center patients in the Naples-Fort Myers, Florida area to choose the best option for their needs. He is also trained in cosmetic surgery and offers post-massive weight loss body contouring. His areas of surgical expertise include post massive weight loss body contouring procedures, revisional bariatric surgery, robotic surgery, anti-reflux surgery and complex wound care.
Before joining the Surgical Healing Arts Center, he attended medical school at Des Moines University in Iowa. He completed his residency at Mount Clemens Regional Medical Center, an affiliate of Michigan State University.
Dr. Shieh completed fellowships in both laparoscopic surgery from Northeast Surgical Group – Great Lakes Bariatric Treatment Center and cosmetic surgery through the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.
He is board certified in General Surgery and is currently board eligible for the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery. He is a member of the American Society for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS), the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (AACS) and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons.
Dr. Damit specializes in bariatric surgery.
Before joining the Surgical Healing Arts Center, he was a bariatric, minimally invasive surgery and robotics fellow at AdventHealth in Tampa, and a general surgery resident at Wayne State University Detroit Medical Center.
He received his Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry, graduating with cum laude honors from Florida State University. He received is Doctor of Medicine degree from Wayne State University, where he received numerous scholarships, the Board of Governor Award and was a research associate at the University of South Florida Biology Department and the H. Lee Moffit Cancer Center.
He is a member of Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) and the American Society for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS). He has presented at national and international surgical meetings regarding trauma and bariatric surgery.
Certifications include basic life support, advanced cardiovascular life support, advanced trauma life support, fundamentals of endoscopic/laparoscopic surgery (FES/FLS). He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery.
Having trained as an artist before turning to medicine, Dr. Nease is renowned for his unique ability to paint beautiful portraits with his hands. With 20 years of experience, he has performed more than 10,000 surgical procedures.
Dr. Nease earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine, after which he went on to study otolaryngology, head, and neck surgery at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center. He then completed a 12-month sponsored fellowship program through the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.
He regularly provides lectures and presentations to peers across the country and trains surgeons from around the world in the latest techniques in cosmetic surgery. Dr. Nease was an instructor for the facial rejuvenation course sponsored by the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (AACS) in 2012. He was also an instructor for the New and Established Techniques in Breast and Body Contouring Workshop in St. Louis.
Dr. Nease is a trustee of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, the 2018 President of the American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery (ABFCS), and current Treasurer of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.
Dr. Nease is triple board-certified by the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and the American Board of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery.
A board-certified and fellowship-trained surgeon, Dr. Saeed is interested in bariatric surgery as both a medical professional and a patient. After struggling for many years with obesity, Dr. Saeed underwent bariatric surgery in his early 20s and was finally able to shed excess weight and improve his overall health. Today, he is a staunch advocate for the procedure for patients who have tried and repeatedly failed at other means of weight loss.
Before joining Surgical Healing Arts, he was a general, bariatric and trauma surgeon in Evanston, Illinois.
He received his Bachelor of Science degree in biology, graduating with magnum cum laude honors from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago. He served a general surgery residency at the University of Illinois Chicago-Metropolitan Group Hospitals and had a fellowship in advanced minimally invasive and bariatric surgery at Scripps Health in San Diego.
At St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, he was Medical Director for Trauma Surgery, chairman of the Robotic Surgery Committee and assistant director of the Bariatric Surgery Committee. He served as Assistant Clinical Professor for residents and medical students at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine and the University of California-Riverside School of Medicine in Riverside, CA. At St. Francis Hospital, he was named Non-medicine Specialist of the Year in 2021 by residents. Continental Who’s Who Registry named him Pinnacle Clinic Professional Member in 2021 for excellence in bariatric and general surgery.
Dr. Saeed is also board-certified in Bariatric Surgery, Trauma Surgery, and General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery. Among his professional affiliations, he is a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES). He is also certified in robotic surgery and has completed over 100 advanced robotic procedures. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).
He has presented at national and international surgical meetings regarding bariatric and minimally invasive surgery.
Dr. Saeed has provided medical services to the underserved in Chicago, as well as working with youth. He is fluent in English and Arabic.
Jessica uses her unique skills to deliver exceptional, patient-centered care with a focus on health promotion, disease prevention and effective resource management.
Before joining Surgical Healing Arts, she worked as a registered nurse in Melbourne and Cape Canaveral Florida. Her doctoral project was on athlete injury prevention through a standardized warm-up program. She has more than five years’ experience as an exercise physiologist, creating exercise and transitional rehabilitation programs as well as developing individual meal and exercise programs to fit lifestyle and financial constraints of patients.
She has a Doctor of Nursing practice from University of Central Florida, an Associate of Nursing, Registered Nurse degree from Eastern Florida State College and a Bachelor of Science Degree in physiology from University of Arizona.
Before joining Surgical Healing Arts, she received clinic experience in bariatric surgery, plastic surgery, internal medicine, family medicine, dermatology, gastroenterology, emergency medicine and general surgery.
She has a Master of Science degree in physician assistant studies from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor of Science degree in forensic science with a biochemistry track.
Before joining Surgical Healing Arts, she received clinic experience in bariatric surgery, plastic surgery, internal medicine, family medicine, emergency medicine, pediatrics, psychiatry and women’s health in Pennsylvania and Sarasota.
She has a Master of Science degree in physician assistant studies from King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, PA and a Bachelor of Science degree in medical studies and a minor in biology.
Sherry is an accomplished registered nurse with more than 30 years of patient care, administration, surgery, and compliance management experience.
Before joining Surgical Healing Arts in 2016, she served as a nurse, physician assistant and practice administrator for an OB/GYN practice in Charleston, West Virginia.
She received a bachelor’s degree in nursing at West Virgina University Institute of Technology.
