Surgical Healing Arts Center is now offering patients access to American HealthCare Lending, which offers loans from $1,000 to $34,000 for “out-of-pocket” healthcare costs, announced Dr. Moses K. Shieh, D.O., owner and one of two bariatric surgeons at the Fort Myers-based weight-loss and bariatric surgery center.
American HealthCare Lending provides financing services via an online platform that allows healthcare professionals to offer financing to patients to help them pay the costs for which they are responsible.
“Many people look to obtain healthcare treatments to improve their quality of life, but are not always in a position to do so because of their financial situation,” Shieh said. “With American HealthCare Lending, more individuals have the opportunity to receive services they need to lead a happier and healthier lifestyle.”
With American HealthCare Lending, there is no transaction fee, loans can be used for any healthcare-related issue, and patients receive instant pre-approval without affecting their credit. Patients also are able to review the terms and rates of the loan before accepting.
Dr. Shieh is experienced in several major weight-loss surgical procedures, including LAP-BAND® gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy, revisional bariatric surgery, Stomaphyx procedure, anti-reflux surgery, body contouring, and gastric band fills and adjustments.
The other bariatric surgeon at the center is John G. Raheb, D.O., whose specialties include general surgery, gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy, REALIZE® Gastric Band, and gastric band fills and adjustments. His career includes time as a Naval Flight Surgeon, a Ship’s Surgeon and deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. Raheb also was Director for Surgical Services at Naval Hospital Pensacola in the Florida Panhandle.
